AeroMechanical Test Engineer; Wind Tunnel Calibration Engineer at NASA, Glenn Research Center
October 2007Serve as an experienced Aerospace Mechanical Test Engineer supporting the NASA GRC Facilities and Testing Division. Responsibilities include multi-faceted aeronautical testing program support duties ranging from pre-test activities, test phase, and post-test tasks. Pre-test activities include project management, scheduling, budget mitigation, customer interaction, machine shop coordination, model hardware design, stress analysis review, model build-up, test hardware installation, electrical and data systems requirements coordination, calibration, and documentation. Test phase activities include test facility operation, power and central services scheduling and coordination, documentation, facility manpower allocation. Post-test activities include test hardware removal, raw data reporting to the customer, wind tunnel calibration data processing and reporting, test summary reporting including power and manpower usage, and program archival. Served on various NASA in-house, outside industry customers, and multi-center and inter-agency collaborative test programs including the Department of Defense (DOD) and European Space Agency (ESA). Currently assigned as Combined Cycle Engine (CCE) Inlet and Facility Aeronautical Validation and Operations Research (FAVOR) Test Lead over a combined team of Civil Servant and various Support Service Contractors for Pre-test activities.
